Boundary County Interfaith Food Drive
School is out. The need is not.
When summer break begins, local kids lose the free breakfast and lunch they count on all year. Our congregations are coming together to keep families across Boundary County, Idaho fed.
Why a summer food drive
During the school year, students across Boundary County, Idaho can count on free breakfast and lunch every day. The moment school lets out, that support disappears, and families feel it right away.
Community Action Partnership, our local food bank, watches the shelves empty faster every summer. A few bags of groceries from each congregation add up to a real cushion for our neighbors when they need it most.
One county. One goal.
We are aiming to gather 2,000 pounds of food together this summer. Big congregations and small ones count exactly the same here. This is not a competition. Every can, box, and jar moves us forward as one community, and any congregation is welcome to set its own goal to add to the total.
